OUR COMMUNITY
THE BOUNDARY
Markland Wood is a quiet residential community located between Dundas Street on the south, Burnhamthorpe Road to the north, Etobicoke Creek to the west, and Bloordale park to the east. Markland Drive makes a full circle around the community crossing Bloor Street twice, hence creating "The Circle of Friends".
We are only few minutes walk from the Mississauga border. Highway's 401, 427 and the QEW/Gardener Expressway are just a short driving distance away.
The Markland Wood (Golf) Country Club surrounds the area to the west and south. Neilson Park Creative Arts Centre is just short walk around the corner.
Mature trees blooming in spring, well maintained properties, residents walking their dogs, jogging, cycling, roller blading or talking on the street. There are many green spaces with four schools and two large parks. Witness the children playing. Markland Wood is a wonderful place to raise a family.

CHRISTMAS CARAVAN
On the second last or third last Sunday of December, the residents of Markland Wood have a tradition of collecting non-perishable food items and clothing for distribution to several charities in Toronto.
The Caravan usually consists of a Police sound vehicle, a bright red Fire Truck, a transport truck, to sort and pack the food, and dozens of cheery elves and, of course, Santa!
2017 marked the 50 anniversary of the Christmas Caravan.
