President's Update

Anna Schaefer, MWHA President

Dear Residents,

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Anna Schaefer and I am your new MWHA
President. Well, not new really... I’ve been on this Board for 17 years and I served as President from 2011 to 2014. I would like to thank Georgina for the last 3 years of her presidency. She was an amazing leader and accomplished so much for our community. Fortunately, she is now my Vice President and I am looking forward to continue working with her.

On October 26th, we hosted our first-ever virtual AGM. I must say, it was a great
success! Thank you to all of you who attended. I would also like to welcome two new Associates to our Board: Kevin Crigger and Jacquie Bradley-Zubac.

MWHA Christmas Caravan 53rd Anniversary!

Dear Markland Residents,

The 53rd annual Markland Wood Homeowners Association Christmas Caravan will be held on Sunday, December 13th.

As you are all aware, these are unprecedented times and we have been working closely with Toronto Public Health to ensure that Caravan is able to take place in a safe manner, following all Provincial guidelines.

Caravan is needed now more than ever! Unfortunately, due to the current case numbers and increased restrictions, we have made the very difficult decision to hold Caravan in a unique way this year: We won't be driving by your street; instead a minimum number of volunteers will be at 2 Trailsmoke Crescent (near Mill & Broadfield) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to graciously accept your much needed donation of food, clothing and toys.
